Professor Vytautas Bučinskas is a distinguished Lithuanian scholar in the field of mechanical engineering, mechatronics, robotics, and digital manufacturing. He currently serves as Professor and Head of the Department of Mechatronics, Robotics and Digital Manufacturing at Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VILNIUS TECH), Lithuania.

Prof. Bučinskas obtained his degree in Mechanical and Automotive Engineering from Vilnius Civil Engineering Institute and later earned a Doctorate in Technological Sciences (Mechanical Engineering). Over the course of his academic career, he has held several academic positions, including associate professor and professor in mechanical engineering, and has been actively involved in research, teaching, and international scientific collaboration.

His research and teaching activities focus on mechatronic systems, robotics, digital manufacturing, and advanced engineering modelling. Prof. Bučinskas has coordinated and participated in numerous international projects, including large-scale Horizon 2020 and ECSEL Joint Undertaking initiatives related to intelligent mobility, artificial intelligence in manufacturing, and digital industry development.

In addition to his academic leadership, he serves as Editor-in-Chief of the international scientific journal “Robotic Systems and Applications.” He has delivered lectures and courses in many countries, supervised graduate and doctoral research, and contributed significantly to the development of modern engineering education and international academic cooperation.

In recognition of his outstanding contributions to science, education, and international academic collaboration, Andijan State Technical Institute awarded Prof. Vytautas Bučinskas the title of Honorary Professor.
