World university ranking

The QS World University Rankings is an international ranking system developed and published annually by the UK-based company Quacquarelli Symonds (QS). The ranking evaluates the world's best universities and indicates the competitiveness of educational institutions.

The QS ranking is based on the following criteria:

Academic reputation (40%) - determined by studying the university's reputation among academics worldwide.

Employer Opinion (10%) – Employers' opinion on graduates' employment opportunities.

The student-teacher ratio (20%) is one of the indicators of the quality of education.

Citations to scientific articles (20%) – indicates the impact of university research.

The percentage of foreign teachers (5%) is the percentage of international staff.

Foreign student share (5%) – the percentage of international students.

The QS ranking provides not only an overall ranking, but also rankings by region, sector, and subject. It also provides important information on the level of international cooperation of universities, scientific activity, and graduate employability.
