An international scientific and technical conference was held at the Andijan Institute of Mechanical Engineering on the topic "Modern problems and solutions of metrology in the globalization of modern industrial production sectors and scientific development."

The conference was opened by the rector of the institute, Doctor of Technical Sciences Umid Turdialiyev, who spoke about the recent reforms being implemented to develop the field of metrology and their positive results, the role of metrology in our economy today, and the tasks that still need to be accomplished in the field.

The rector of the Osh Technological University of the Kyrgyz Republic, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Zhanbolot Tursunboyev, vice-rector of the Khujand Polytechnic Institute Usmonjon Akhmedov, vice-president of the Association of Technical Universities of the Russian Federation Alexander Shestakov, head of the Andijan branch of the National Institute of Metrology Nurillo Patidinov also spoke at the conference and expressed their opinions.

During the conference, scientific research reports in the field of metrology were heard from the participants. Among the speakers, along with local students, our international students, including our Nigerian student Gabriel Ayodeji Ogunmola, also actively participated and was awarded a certificate in recognition of his contribution.
