A republican scientific and technical conference was held at the Andijan Mechanical Engineering Institute on the topic "The role of science and education in solving safety and environmental protection problems."

The conference, attended by professors, students, researchers, and industry professionals, was organized to discuss issues related to safety and environmental protection.

During the conference, lectures on the topic were given by Abdusattor Boymirzayev, associate professor of the Institute of Civil Protection under the Academy of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Ilhomjon Hamraboyev, senior lecturer of the "Life Safety" training center of the regional Emergency Situations Department, Hasanboy Razzokov, head of the department, Khurshida Orzikulova, 1st-year master's student in the field of Antimonopoly Management and Competition Development at Andijan State University, Gabriel Ogunmola, a research fellow at the Andijan State Technical Institute, and others.

The conference discussed current issues related to the direction on the topics of "Reforms underway in Uzbekistan on issues of ecology and safety", "Methodology of using modern pedagogical technologies and interactive methods in teaching the subject "Life safety", "Work underway on safety and environmental protection at production enterprises", "Priority task of increasing the effectiveness of preventive measures in the sector", "Reforms in the state system of emergency situations", "Labor migration in aspects of labor protection", and put forward a number of proposals.

The participants also broke into groups to analyze the results of scientific research, discuss achievements and outstanding issues, and discuss a number of pressing issues.
